Snake drafts

The classic format, handled properly. Enter your league size, your pick number, your position counts, and DraftScout tracks true snake ordering — the order reverses every round, and total picks equal teams × rounds. As the board falls, the app keeps live count of your open roster slots and surfaces the best available player on your turn, so when a positional run rolls over you, you're reacting with a clear head instead of panic. Set your fade list to keep players you don't want off your board entirely.

Auction drafts

Every team builds its roster with the same budget — $200 by default — and DraftScout makes the pricing math honest. Teams nominate in snake order, the bidding UI tracks every dollar, and when it's your turn the app recommends a max bid for the player up: an estimated fair value based on rank and remaining pool, with a built-in reserve of $1 per unfilled slot so you never bid yourself into a roster you can't finish. Every number is labeled an estimate — the room sets the real prices, and DraftScout just keeps your discipline intact.

IDP & keepers

Drafting a rare format shouldn't mean drafting blind. DraftScout supports IDP leagues with DL, LB, DB, and combined IDP slots — real defensive players in the live pool, not a generic team defense — plus keeper mode, where your league's kept players come off the board automatically and never show up as recommendations. Custom position labels cover the leagues with their own rules, so your board always matches your league sheet.

Scoring formats

Your scoring format changes player values — so DraftScout computes against yours. Full PPR, half-PPR, standard, superflex (with QB-boosted recommendations so you never sleepwalk into a zero-QB build), and TE-premium are all first-class settings. Add your league size, pick number, roster slots, and fades, and every recommendation you see is computed for your league, not a generic board.

Does DraftScout sync with my league?

Not yet. Today DraftScout works from the roster settings you enter — position counts, scoring format, pick number, and fade list — rather than importing your live league. You set it up in about a minute, saved across devices. Market-level league import is on the roadmap; until it ships, what you configure is exactly what the picks are built from.

Isn't this just a generic rankings board?

A rankings board lists players in a fixed order. DraftScout weighs current best-available rank against your specific roster needs, scoring format, and pick-by-pick situation, then explains the call in plain English — the 'why' behind each pick, not just a name.

Who's behind DraftScout?

An independent team of fantasy football players and engineers. We built the tool we wanted for our own draft nights — honest, league-aware, and free of the noise and ads of the big platforms.

Where does the player data come from — is it accurate?

Player data streams live from the Sleeper API, cached server-side and freshness-labeled on every pick. If a projection or value isn't available yet, DraftScout says so rather than inventing a number — no made-up stats.

Why pay when free tools exist?

The draft tool itself is free for your first draft on every account — setup and saving are free and unlimited. Paid tiers remove the draft limit and add the in-season Start/Sit and Waiver advisors, with honest reasoning throughout. If it's not right for you, 14-day refund, no questions asked.
