All player data — projections, rankings, draft rank, trending adds — is fetched live from Sleeper's public API (api.sleeper.app) and shown with its freshness timestamp. We never estimate or hard-code player numbers: when a value isn't published yet you'll see "—".
How to get the most from a player comparison
A side-by-side read works best when you compare players who occupy the same role: two running backs you're choosing between at your pick, two wide receivers competing for your FLEX slot, or the top available option at your most-scarce position. The tool shows you the real, live numbers for each player — so the comparison is only as current as Sleeper's own data, which is exactly what we label on the page.
When Sleeper hasn't published weekly projections yet (as it does in the pre-season), the tool says so honestly and instead lines up what it does have: each player's draft rank, 24-hour add activity, and roster context like position, team, and bye week. No made-up points — an honest "—" beats a fabricated number every time.
